Dr Lucy Shi is an Ivy League-educated board-certified otolaryngologist with fellowship training in facial plastic & reconstructive surgery. She specializes in both aesthetic and reconstructive procedures of the face and has offices in Manhattan, New York. She is also fluent in Mandarin.
Dr Shi treats conditions that have an impact on the form & appearance of a patient’s face. These include complex reconstruction for facial or nasal defects, reanimation procedures for patients suffering from facial paralysis, repair of traumatic facial injuries, gender-affirming surgery for the face, and microtia reconstruction. In addition, Dr Shi also has extensive expertise in aesthetics & rejuvenation of the face, including cosmetic rhinoplasty, eyelid procedures, browlifts, facelifts, and minimally-invasive procedures.

As such, Dr Shi believes it is of the utmost importance to provide highly personalized treatments for her patients. She spends a great deal of time with her patients in order to understand each individual’s goals and to ensure that the uniqueness and natural appearance of each of her patients is maintained. Formally trained as a head & neck surgeon, Dr Shi also has extensive experience and familiarity in the complex anatomy of the face, allowing her to provide the perfect balance of form and function in her results.

Raised in New York City, Dr Shi has studied and trained at some of the most prestigious institutions across the country. She graduated with honors from the University of Pennsylvania and obtained her medical degree from Emory University. She then went on to complete residency training in Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery at the Ohio State University, one of the highest ranked programs in the country. Following residency, she was selected for an extremely competitive fellowship through the American Academy of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery. She completed her fellowship in Seattle, WA, where she trained under some of the most renowned surgeons in the world. In addition to her clinical role, Dr Shi currently serves as Assistant Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology at the Donald & Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell.
